About the role
- This is a twelve-month renewable position contingent upon grant funding
- Full-time positions at Clovis Community College are not remote positions and require a physical presence on campus to fulfill duties and college-related responsibilities.
- The Project Director will cultivate a student-centered approach to learning, meeting educational goals, and meeting program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Develop and implement all activities and services to ensure the requirements of the TRIO SSS Program are met.
- Under general direction of the Dean of Student Services, the Project Director will administer the TRIO Student Support Services grant by coordinating human, material and financial resources and expertise to implement and maintain program requirements.
- Coordinate with college service providers to identify and access support services (tutoring, mentoring, advising, activities, etc.) and resources not funded through the project in an effort to meet identified participant needs, achieve TRIO SSS objectives, and support student success.
Requirements
- Knowledge and/or experience managing federally funded projects
- Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Nice to have
- Experience in designing, implementing, managing, and supervising programs for disadvantaged youth
- Experience in assessment, academic advising, and/or career guidance
- Familiarity, including personal experience, with challenges facing low-income, at-risk, and first-generation students
- An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume.

Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Participate in evaluation of the program.
- Supervise all activities necessary to ensure that accurate and complete data is maintained in TRIO SSS student databases.
- Produce monthly, semester and annual compliance and performance reports in compliance with all federal and program requirements.
- Evaluate the performance of participants and the project, detailing grant expenditures and accomplishments.
- Oversee staff in the recruitment, retention and mentoring of TRIO SSS Participants.
- Serve as project liaison to the college, the participants and the community.
- Select, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all TRIO SSS Personnel.
- Attend TRIO in-service and professional development conferences and workshops.
- Distribute TRIO SSS information to TRIO SSS staff.
- Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs.
