Responsibilities

  • The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Strategic Business Technology Partner.
  • The Strategic Business Technology Partner is a strategic technology advisor who partners with business leaders to align technology investments with organizational goals and mission impact.
  • This role develops technology roadmaps, shapes investment priorities, identifies opportunities for innovation, and helps ensure technology solutions deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

  • Experience partnering with executives and business leaders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate technology investments, budgets, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Experience with fundraising, donor management, constituent engagement, advocacy, volunteer management, or mission delivery platforms.
  • Experience evaluating and advising on artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technology opportunities.
  • Experience with strategic portfolio management, enterprise architecture, product management, or business capability planning.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and organizational change efforts.
  • Professional Development - You can join one of our many Employee Resource Groups (ERG) or be a mentor/mentee in our professional mentoring program.
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps, strategic plans, or technology investment portfolios.
  • Experience developing and gaining alignment on technology strategies, business cases, or implementation plans.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to lead organizational change and support technology adoption.
  • Understanding of IT governance, service management, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance considerations.
  • PREFERRED Experience, Skills, Training Experience supporting nonprofit, association, healthcare, or other mission-driven organizations.

Compensation

  • The expected pay range will be $135,000 - $175,000.
  • Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
  • The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
  • Compensation - Our goal is to ensure you have a competitive base salary.
  • Heart U is the Association's national online university, with more than 100,000 resources designed to meet your needs and busy schedule.
  • Work-Life Harmonization - The Association offers Paid Time Off (PTO) at a minimum of 16 days per year for new employees.
