  • This job supervises the day to day management of department.
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts discipline specific treatment programs based upon the guidelines of the state practice act.

Responsibilities

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Maintains productivity standard of the department, monitoring individual staff productivity levels, discusses any staff concerns/issues with Leader
  • Performs age and diagnosis appropriate evaluations and/or treatment specific to licensed discipline
  • Maintains patient records according to documentation standards, policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in specialty area
  • Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Required - Licensed physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapist assistant, or speech-language pathologist current in state of practice
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Serves as a preceptor or mentor for new staff, validating skills required for proper job performance as outlined in the orientation, assessment, evaluation, and treatment process
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.

  • 3 years of clinical experience in specialty area
