About the role

  • Standard commercial-grade parts cannot meet that bar.
  • Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
  • More information will be provided during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and capture new business in a market Renesas is entering for the first time, from first contact through design-in and production.
  • Own senior technical and commercial relationships across the target accounts, from AI-silicon vendors to space-systems primes to hyperscale operators.
  • Size the addressable and serviceable market, and build the go-to-market plan that prioritizes accounts, applications, and timing.
  • Shape customer requirements early, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and lead proposal development in coordination with product and applications teams.
  • Develop pricing and value strategy for radiation-cognizant solutions relative to commodity and fully rad-hard alternatives.
  • Support executive reviews and corporate funding proposals with market data, revenue projections, and a defensible business case.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, applications, product marketing, and regional sales to align the portfolio with customer needs and to drive design-ins to closure.
  • A track record of opening new markets and closing design-ins or partnerships, ideally where the market did not yet exist.
  • The ability to hold technical discussions on power delivery and mixed-signal design with customer engineers, and to translate them into commercial strategy.
  • This role offers the chance to build a business from the start inside an established semiconductor company, with the resources of a global portfolio behind it and the impact of a market Renesas is helping to create.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • An MBA is a plus.
  • Direct experience working at, or selling into, GPU and AI-accelerator vendors or hyperscale operators is a major plus.

Compensation

  • We believe in rewarding our employees with a competitive benefits package alongside their salary.

Benefits

  • At Renesas, TAGIE is our culture, grounded in being Transparent, Agile, Global, Innovative, and Entrepreneurial.

Company info

  • Renesas can, and we are opening a new high-reliability (Hi-Rel) growth area to do it: radiation-cognizant power management built on our power portfolio and decades of Hi-Rel heritage.
  • Willingness to travel to customers and Renesas sites.
  • This collaborative spirit and mindset drive our semiconductor technology to transform industries and impact millions of lives.

Equal opportunity

  • Renesas Electronics is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, committed to supporting diversity and fostering a work environment free of discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, military status, veteran status, or any other basis protected by law.
