Responsibilities
- This position bridges safety program management with operational execution, utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies (e.g., 4P Method, TWI) and Lean principles to build a safe, compliant, and highly skilled workforce.
- Acting as a key point of contact for safety regulations, emergency response, and operator development, this role combines active field auditing, technical EHS support, trainer coaching, and continuous improvement driving.
- Develop, revise, and maintain EHS safety programs, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Lead and execute site-wide onboarding and technical training plans through Level 4 certification.
- Direct trainee activities, evaluate and certify trainers, and coordinate onboarding with leadership, temporary hiring partners, and safety teams.
- Technical EHS Support & Field Audits:
Requirements
- Certifications & Licenses: Active Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV/PIT) license with 1+ years driving experience (or ability to obtain).
- Skills & Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of OSHA/EPA safety regulations, WCM principles, and the 4P Method/4-Step Process.
Nice to have
- WCM Certified Trainer, Lean Specialist, or equivalent certification.
- Preferred: WCM Certified Trainer, Lean Specialist, or equivalent certification.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA/EPA safety regulations, WCM principles, and the 4P Method/4-Step Process.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for data tracking, reporting, and presentations.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, public speaking, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, project management skills, and a high sense of urgency.
