About the role

  • The Staff Accountant will report to the VP of Finance and be an integral part of the finance team.
  • This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes.
  • The Staff Accountant will also help ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities

  • We own real property or real property interests in the United States and Italy, Spain, France, Germany and Poland.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Support tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax compliance.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as needed by the Accounting Manager or Finance Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Compensation

  • $90k-$100k
