About the role

  • The Foreman ensures compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and project timelines while minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing plant reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical work on capital projects, including reading schematics, reviewing plans, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other trades.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as motors, drives, control panels, transformers, switchgear, and instrumentation.
  • Maintain and update electrical documentation, including wiring diagrams, panel schedules, and asset records.
  • Support commissioning and startup activities for new or modified equipment.
  • The Commercial Electrician Foreman will lead a team of electricians and contractors to safely and efficiently maintain, troubleshoot, and install electrical systems in a commercial environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of commercial electrical experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical systems up to 480V (or higher as required).
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work orders and asset tracking.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing capital projects and coordinating contractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed to support production or project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Working Conditions:
  • New construction and remodel sites with exposure to noise, heat, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working at heights.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • technical school diploma or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license strongly preferred.
