About the role
- The Senior Accountant 2 is responsible for performing and managing advanced accounting and reporting activities across labels/affiliates and reviewing the work of staff and offshore resources.
- Review the work of entry-level staff members and provide feedback for corrections and process improvements.
- Assist in the successful execution of the monthly close process, including preparing complex journal entries, monitoring sub-ledger interfaces, and ensuring the timely analysis, preparation, and submission of close-related deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced accounting tasks and analyses to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Perform variance analyses related to system reconciliations and ad hoc requests, providing timely support and explanations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with offshore team members by reviewing deliverables, providing feedback, and supporting the accurate and timely completion of assigned activities.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within BlackLine to enhance the close process and improve operational effectiveness.
- Maintain strong working relationships with business unit finance teams and other stakeholders while supporting cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-10 years of experience in Shared Service or Corporate Accounting and/or experience with a Big 4 CPA firm
