About the role

  • As an Engineer at Superpower, you will play a critical role in architecting and delivering the foundational technology for Superpower's digital health platform.
  • This is a unique opportunity for a product-minded, entrepreneurial engineer to work at the intersection of software, healthcare innovation, and human performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end software solutions, from front-end components to backend infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain scalable microservices architecture and modern web applications.
  • Own technical decisions and contribute to company-wide product strategy and planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on full stack web development.
  • Deep experience with modern frameworks such as React, Node.js, Typescript, and related tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong knowledge of system design, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (especially AWS/Fargate).
  • Passion for healthcare, wellness, or longevity tech is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding engineer is highly desirable.
  • Design & Ops: Tailwind CSS, Figma, Linear, Notion, Slack
  • This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco. Team members work primarily from our SOMA office, collaborating closely across disciplines in a fast-moving, highly creative, and mission-driven environment.
