About the role
- You will work closely with product, security, infrastructure, platform, and customer-facing engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Own service reliability and operational excellence, including availability, latency, incident response, change management, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
- Drive effective cross-functional collaboration across security, infrastructure, networking, developer platform, cloud operations, product, and customer engineering teams.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing a complex function or multiple related teams led by manager / tech-leads, including responsibility for strategy, execution, staffing, and engineering quality.
- Experience running engineering operations (observability, SLOs, incident management, post-incident review, capacity planning, release safety) for high-scale services with 99.95%+ availability, 10K RPS or greater.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions in ambiguous environments and translate long-term strategy into pragmatic execution.
- A track record of delivering through ambiguity and aligning Product, Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries and work with external customers or partners.
- Willingness to work on-site in Sunnyvale, California. This role is not remote.
Nice to have
- Experience with identity, key management, encryption, secrets management, confidential computing, or security integrations.
- Experience leading greenfield products from early architecture through production adoption.

Compensation
- The base salary range for this role is $207,000 to $275,000.
