Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate, competitive, and profitable takeoff bid proposals for a variety of complex and large as well as small and simple projects.
  • Manage the estimating processes and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long range
  • Responsible for prioritizing and planning work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
  • Prepare contractual exhibits and scope documents.
  • Develops and documents logical assumptions during conceptual estimating activities and applies these assumptions to take-off tasks.
  • Provides analytical summaries and recommendations to the senior leadership as needed to support decision making.
  • Develop and provide estimating training as necessary.
  • Plan it, Do it, Own it (Accountability)

Requirements

Nice to have

  • Review takeoffs from estimators and check for conformity to specs and drawings.
  • Prioritize, supervise, direct and schedule estimating projects.
  • Conduct internal estimate reviews.
  • Participate in project turnover and kickoff collaboration when necessary.
  • Attending job walks and reporting information back to the manager related to critical differences in job drawings and bid requirements.
  • Analyze estimates vs. completed projects.
  • Assists with other job responsibilities as required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in the electrical construction industry.
