About the role
- Job Objective: The Pipeline Commercial Operations & Business Development role is responsible for maximizing the commercial performance of pipeline assets while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
- This position operates at the intersection of commercial strategy, customer engagement, contract management, and market analysis, supporting both ongoing operations and new business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day commercial activities for pipeline assets, including contract administration, tariff application, quality, and volume tracking
- Develop and maintain relationships with producers, shippers, refiners, and other key stakeholders
- Collaborate with scheduling, operations, and accounting teams to resolve imbalances, invoicing issues, and customer inquiries
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for pipeline systems
- Develop and support commercial strategies for system expansions, new connections, and greenfield projects
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college
- Ten (10) years minimum experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Direct and tangible experience with midstream business development and/or oil & gas markets
Nice to have
- Business or Engineering Degree Highly Preferred
