About the role
- We're seeking an experienced Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure and platform services underpinning CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem.
- This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and data engineering, owning the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data platform.
- Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow, and Superset in production environments
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for data platform components using Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments
- Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards
- Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata
- Employee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connections
Requirements
- Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience
- Advanced Python programming (5+ years)
- Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency
- Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production
- Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata
- SQL and data modeling expertise
- Experience with data security and compliance requirements
