About the role
- You will work hands‑on with machine tools, electrical cabinets, control systems, and software-acting as a technical expert for customers, OEMs, and internal teams.
- You will apply both electrical and mechanical disciplines daily, diagnosing integration issues, optimizing machine performance, and delivering reliable measurement solutions in active production environments.
Responsibilities
- Configure and validate probing cycles, macros, and machine calibration routines on customer machines
- Support and optimize Renishaw PC‑based software used for calibration, inspection, and process control
- Provide technical support during demonstrations, proof‑of‑concept trials, and application evaluations
Requirements
- Advanced diploma or higher in a supporting field, or equivalent hands‑on experience in:
Nice to have
- Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar
- Familiarity with CNC probing systems, tool measurement, or machine calibration technologies
- Understanding of G‑code
- Background in machine tool retrofits, rebuilds, or automation integration
- Hands‑on experience working directly on CNC machine tools in a service, retrofit, OEM, or manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting production machining environments (mills, lathes, multi‑axis machines)
- Strong problem‑solving skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Clear communication skills for customer interaction, training, and technical reporting
Compensation
- $70,000 to $90,000 CAD, depending on experience and location
