Responsibilities
- Create reliability block diagrams/models that reflect the functions, failure modes, and characteristics of the system/unit being analyzed.
- Work with engineering team to develop technical solutions to potential reliability and availability problems.
Requirements
- Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.*
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
Nice to have
- for Reliability Systems Engineer -
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 8+ years of engineering experience OR
- Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 6+ years of engineering experience OR
- PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 4+ years of engineering experience
- Familiarity with modeling/simulation software tools used for Reliability analysis
- Experienced in performing and documenting a Unit or System level Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) based on standard commercial best-practices,
- Experienced in performing and documenting piece-part / component failure rate estimation using best available data (e.g, handbook method(s), life test based, etc.)
- Candidate must have active SCI access at time of application with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years and prior to start date OR
Skills
- Utilize standard commercial best practices and industry tools to cost-effectively conduct reliability analyses and assessments.
Compensation
- $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
