About the role
- The SVP of Manufacturing and Launch will be responsible for leading all manufacturing operations at scale for Lynk, up to launch integration.
- The SVP of Manufacturing will be a key member of Lynk's senior leadership team and a contributor to Lynk's overall strategy
- You will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing, tooling, and staffing Lynk's satellite production facilities, in different regions of the world.
Responsibilities
- you will work closely with the CTO, COO, Chief Engineer, the SVP of Engineering, and other executives to rapidly scale Lynk's satellite production to support Lynk's core business plan.
- You will become intimately familiar with Lynk's spacecraft design, how we build them today, and influence how the design will evolve over time based on design for manufacturing principles that you recommend.
- Plan, prioritize, and simplify manufacturing requirements and then implement manufacturing designs/processes to meet those requirements.
- Support engagements with launch vehicle providers and ensure launch vehicle integration is possible across multiple providers.
- Ensure the manufacturing team engages extremely closely with Lynk's design, product and technology teams to:
- Understand satellite designs and suggest design modifications for manufacturing and product improvement.
- You will be responsible for every aspect of standing up Lynk's satellite production facilities and recruiting, leading, and training the production teams, in close cooperation with potential partners.
- Lead the development of Lynk's manufacturing and production plans and processes to scale from site selection, building, integrating and testing a few satellites per month to hundreds of satellites per month.
Requirements
- Individuals who do not meet these criteria must be eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
- You must demonstrate a track record of standingup and operating manufacturing facilities that are capable of high-volume producting utilizing, advance manufacturing processes, technology, and skilled personnel.
- Previous experience (15+ years) designing, standing up, and operating a manufacturing or production facility for automotive, hardware components, or space systems. In-depth understanding of industry best practices for quality in the manufacturing process at scale.
- Experience leading the production of satellites or satellite components at scale is a plus.
- Experience in leading, developing and managing large production teams.
- Experience managing overseas suppliers is a plus.
- ITAR Requirements

- Work to aggressive deadlines for the delivery of completed satellites based on the Lynk growth and business plan.
- Help company vertically-integrate spacecraft subsystems and components as necessary.
Compensation
