About the role

  • In alignment with the SEIU CBA, this position will be posted for 7 days internally from 7/21/2026 to 7/29/2026 and available only to existing members of the ratified SEIU Bargaining Unit with a contract expiration date of 9/30/2027.
  • Assists RNs with the completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and MDS.
  • Records and collects data according to department guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Performs individualized nursing care for patients/families under the direction of an RN.

Requirements

  • 1 Year LVN experience in long term care.
  • 1 Year clinical experience in the respective department.
  • On-Call Required:
  • California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians -REQUIRED
  • American Heart Association -REQUIRED
  • CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians -REQUIRED
  • As part of the terms of employment, employees in this role are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and remain a member (e.g. dues paying, fee paying, religious exception contributor) for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Vocational Nurse IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certification is required within 6 months of hire or transfer. Certification to be tracked and maintained by the department - REQUIRED
  • Coordinates all required Resident Assessment Instruments (RAI) including MDS and RAP summary per state and federal guidelines to ensure timely completion.
