Requirements
- Job Summary & Objectives The Litigation Docket Specialist is responsible for performing entry level litigation-related services for the Firm and possessing basic knowledge of litigation practices.
Nice to have
- Review emails and requests received and draft appropriate responses to attorneys and Firm administration
- Communicate with case teams on various litigation related matters
- Assist with and train on basic electronic filing in federal and state jurisdictions
- Escalate complex docketing questions or issues to Senior Docketing Specialist
- Communicate with court personnel via phone and email, as necessary
- Bachelor's degree is required
Skills
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience required
- Knowledge of the entry level litigation docketing and calendaring process
- Ability to communicate basic litigation processes to case team and attorneys
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent research and analytical skills
- Knowledge of basic filing procedures in federal and state courts
Compensation
- NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 at the time of posting.
- This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
