About the role
- The Superintendent oversees field operations across multiple crews performing heavy civil construction, primarily underground wet utilities including water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, boots -on-the-ground environment and serves as the critical link between project plans and field execution, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.
- Supervise daily site operations to ensure safety, budget, and timelines are met
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage field crews (Foremen, Operators, Laborers) across multiple job sites
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineers to schedule and organize work
- Track documentation, generate field reports, and support billing coordination
- Access to training, technology, and resources to help you lead successfully
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil construction (utilities required)
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and motivate crews
- Knowledge of erosion and sediment control, construction standards, and OSHA compliance
