About the role
- The primary responsibility of the Public Areas Attendant is supporting our Housekeeping team in taking care of a building's general sanitation, cleanliness & ambiance.
- Their duties include maintaining the cleanliness of all public spaces, removing linen and trash from guest rooms, maintaining the organization & cleanliness of storage areas, providing guests with items upon request, and supporting the Housekeeping team with cleaning duties to ensure rooms are clean & ready for check-in.
Responsibilities
- Outside of room should be kept clean and tidy Empty trash for the entire room and public areas Deliver any requested amenities, linens, and supplies to guest rooms Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all hotel features/services, activities, and events.
- Ensure all public areas of hotel are clean Deliver any lost and found items to appropriate area Be able to communicate effectively with guests and provide exceptional customer service Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all department policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times Resolve guest complaints and concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Ensure storage and closets are stocked properly and maintain an organized layout.
