Responsibilities
- Use professional judgment to deliver imaging services, applying X‑ray technology for patients of all ages.

- Collaborate with the ordering/treating Provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment.
- Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.
- Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.
Requirements
- Maintaining accurate patient records and logging of completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required.
- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
- Required Licenses/Certifications
Nice to have
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).
- Responsible for x-ray services as needed
- Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
Skills
- Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.
- Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
- Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.

- The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care patients.
- This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers.
