In this role, you will frequently use and apply technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Participating in team meetings, you will contribute to project planning and progress discussions, as well as mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

The role includes working on advanced projects, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and technicians, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions that drive the company's success.
You will collaborate with other mechanical teams and occasionally communicate outside of Sierra Space to ensure alignment and progress.
You will develop solutions to technical problems, conduct tests and simulations to validate propulsion system performance, and document design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference.
We deliver mission-proven technologies to our customers that safeguard our nation, protect space-based assets and enable space exploration.

Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
Typically 2+ years of related experience.
Strong understanding of Propulsion Engineering.
Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Ability to work in a team and independently with general guidance from senior engineers.
This position is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in propulsion engineering and a few years of experience looking to further their career.

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Proficiency in using engineering design software and tools such as CAD, FEA, or CFD.
Strong understanding of propulsion system components and their functions.

$82,461.00 - $113,403.75
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
