About the role
- From breaking news and live events to studio shows and original storytelling, ESPN reaches millions of fans each day through social media, television, streaming, and digital platforms.
- The Digital Video Newsroom Internship is an opportunity for an up-and-coming video editor to gain professional experience in a fast-paced, sports environment.
- The candidate will learn about the production and editing of trending video content on ESPN-branded digital channels both domestically and globally.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to create and distribute videos that activate new audiences
- Manage production timelines effectively to ensure projects are delivered on schedule
- Stay current on latest trends, technology and best practices to support continuous improvement across ESPN platforms including YouTube
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and deliver accurate work in a fast‑paced production environment
- Ability to create and optimize mobile‑first content
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Proficiency in non‑linear editing tools such as Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, Quantel, or After Effects
- Experience with editing video content across multiple social media channels and platforms
- Proficiency working within digital content management systems to organize, publish, and maintain video assets efficiently
Nice to have
- Major or previous coursework Communications, Journalism, Sports Media or related major preferred
- Senior year preferred
