About the role

Responsible for improving and maintaining the quality management system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of documented information and training to eliminate potential for product quality issues and meeting customer expectations.

Assist in the development and ensure the adherence to documented information used to define and document the Quality Management System.
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Improve and develop current testing processes and procedures with special respect to controls sequences and programming.
Lead facility based investigative actions into warranty issues and trends, product and customer complaints, and internal non-conformances. Compile and prepare data to determine root cause and preventive measures.
Perform and/or lead process audits to assess compliance and capability.
Lead implementation of basic and advanced quality control tools.

Applies knowledge of Total Cost Management, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Methods.
Must be self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong personal drive for success.
Must be willing and able to take the lead in the implementation of improvement actions.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment working with and/or leading the team members, team leaders, management and support staff.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. HVAC/R a plus.
Strong background in continuous improvement and problem-solving using tools like an 8D or similar.
Auditing proficiency. ISO 9001:2015 certification is a plus.
