Responsibilities

  • Lead the roadmap for The Machine's core services, data ingestion, and query/context layers
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and UX to prioritize features and deliver fast, iterative experiments
  • Partner with the Machine's AI architecture and Solutions Engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure deployments
  • Work closely with design and engineering to evolve how users onboard data sources and interact with the query layer
  • Present prototypes, findings, and roadmaps clearly to leadership and partner teams
  • Support cross-functional initiatives like new data source onboarding, client implementations, and pilot launches
  • This role sits at the convergence of AI orchestration, data infrastructure, product design, and workflow innovation, turning conceptual capabilities into scalable, production-ready systems.
  • You will own high-leverage platform investments, shape how data flows into and through The Machine (ingestion, harmonization, the query layer, and shared context) and help define the foundations the next generation of intelligence features are built on.
  • AI-native professional skills (you build/prototype/scaffold your approach to work using AI tooling)

Requirements

  • Significant product management experience, including a track record of leadership, with data platform or infrastructure products and using AI prototyping tools
  • Proven ability to ship data- or ML-powered products (data pipelines, RAG, or agentic workflows)
  • Familiarity with data governance, lineage, multi-tenancy, and access control in enterprise environments
  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and experimentation-heavy environments - we ship daily
  • The ideal candidate combines fluency in AI systems and modern data infrastructure, a sharp product sense, and comfort bridging strategy and engineering.

Compensation

  • The base compensation range for this role is $170,000 – $200,000 and spans multiple levels.
