About the role

  • Job Title: Senior Strategic Buyer Job Description: As the Senior Strategic Buyer, your role will be instrumental in shaping our purchasing department and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Responsible for executing commodity strategies for assigned categories that allow Qualitrol to win in the market.
  • Strong project management, communication and leadership activity will be necessary to meet annual goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic purchasing initiatives and cost saving projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with supply chain processes.
  • Maintain regular contact with suppliers, which includes visits to their operations.
  • Create supplier performance improvement plans based on sourcing strategy.
  • Lead cost saving, redesign and resourcing projects.
  • Participate on various project teams that require sourcing support.
  • Ability to manage numerous complex scope projects simultaneously.
  • Initiate timelines and adherence measurements to project goals; building and driving teamwork across functional areas.

Requirements

  • 5 + years of progressive experience in direct purchasing and Supply Chain roles with Mechanical Commodity.
  • Exceptional vendor management skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and proactively mitigate supply risks and disruptions.
  • Full proficiency in a major ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
  • Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 73100.00-135700.00
  • Partner with Commodity Manager to Conduct Annual Business Reviews with key suppliers.
  • Take the lead on projects that will drive your annual goals and metrics forward.
