About the role
- Definition & Purpose Under the supervision of the Assistant Director—Recreational Programs and Facility Operations, the Lifeguard is responsible for the supervision of PEAC Pool and pool area during recreational swimming hours and fitness and instructional program hours. General responsibilities are to ensure that a safe and enjoyable environment is
- maintained. Lifeguards are also responsible for opening and securing pool facilities. This position is based at the Cal Poly Maritime Academy on the Cal Poly Solano Campus in Vallejo, CA.

- Graduate students must carry 4 units.
- Current American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Title 22 First Aid or EMT certification is preferred.
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
- Ability to be highly organized and have good planning skills.
Compensation
- $17.40 per hour - $17.40 per hour Maximum 20 hours per week May require working early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
