About the role

You will assist with execution of short-term and long-term strategies that align with the Company goals for reducing costs, managing risk and meeting company financial goals.
You will negotiate, coordinate and assure that assigned indirect spend categories and services are purchased at the best possible cost.

Develop and implement category to optimize business efficiency.
Perform category management for strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract performance, and compliance monitoring, and risk management.
Work with business partners in understanding the enterprise spend and identifying opportunities to increase quality and improve value for money.
Maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors.
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
Support procurement functions in Vizient's ERP system as needed.
In this role, you will implement procurement strategies, from initial identification of procurement needs through delivery, for indirect goods and services.
You will assess near-term and long-term plans to establish supplier priorities balanced with business needs; consult with management and other subject experts to develop alternative solutions, advise on options, risks, total cost of ownership and business impact.

7 or more years of experience with procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier relationships and contract legal terms and conditions is required.
Experience presenting to and working with senior management is required.
Ability to think strategically and independently.
Experience with contract legal terms and conditions.
Possess strong project management, facilitation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to build strategic supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
