About the role

The Middle School Social Studies Teacher, 6th-8th Grade, is responsible for supporting students' success by ensuring the school day structure runs efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students.
This is a 10-month position that is supervised by a member of the school leadership team.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Our schools are supported by a non-profit partner to provide holistic services to the school, including out-of-school time, our social work project, and Head Start.
We do it by ensuring our students have access to complete support both in and out of the classroom through a talented team of teachers, leaders, social workers, and partners.

Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations as directed.
Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and a variety of individualized needs
Previous experience working with children preferred
