Responsibilities

  • Perform acceptance, maintenance, and troubleshooting testing on high voltage equipment including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and cables
  • Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment such as insulation resistance testers, power factor test sets, relay test equipment, and TDR units
  • Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Field Technician to perform high voltage electrical testing, inspection, and maintenance of power distribution systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in high voltage testing or related electrical field work
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and components
  • Familiarity with NETA, ANSI, IEEE, and NFPA standards
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Experience with relay testing and protective device coordination
  • This role requires a current NETA certification and hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to high voltage equipment
  • Travel to job sites as required (local and out-of-town)
