Responsibilities

  • Prescribe s and manage s psychotropic medications as appropriate.
  • Provide s psychotherapy or counseling services as needed or collaborate with therapists and psychologists to offer comprehensive care.
  • Assess es and manage acute psychiatric crises and coordinate s higher levels of care when necessary.
  • Collaborate s with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and support staff, to ensure holistic patient care.

Requirements

  • Board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry required.
  • Completion of a psychiatry residency program and child fellowship required.
