About the role
- Are you looking for an opportunity to do challenging, creative work that makes a real impact?
- The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for the overall health and safety of personnel on-site and in the Wight Offices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to develop site-specific safety plans (SSSP) and emergency procedures for each project.
- Champion a proactive safety culture and drive accountability at all organizational levels.
- You will develop, implement, and lead safety initiatives that comply with all local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a proactive culture of risk prevention and accountability.
Requirements
- Maintain all required OSHA documentation, including 300 logs, and ensure the project remains in total compliance with safety legislation.
- OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) is required.
Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to use safety management software (like Procore) for reporting and tracking.
- Communication: Strong ability to relay complex safety protocols clearly to diverse groups, from field laborers to executives.
- Problem Solving: Quick thinking to mitigate immediate hazards without halting project momentum unnecessarily.
- Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.

Compensation
- $105,000 - $135,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
Benefits
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferred.
