  • The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.
  • 2 PM to close (typically between 10 PM and midnight) Availability on Saturday and Sunday is required, and an additional 2 days per week.
  • Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job.
  • Must be able to operate all equipment used in the restaurant.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years' experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant
  • This position operates in a climate-controlled international airport environment.
  • The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public are outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc.
  • The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.

Compensation

  • $20k-$50k

Benefits

  • Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Eye-hand coordination, depth perception, finger dexterity, and functional vision and speech perception are required.
