About the role
- This role uses tools such as electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to accurately determine the position and depth of utilities like water, gas, electric, and telecommunications lines.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities
- Perform field investigations to locate underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR systems
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and utility owners to verify and communicate findings
- Support project planning and execution by providing accurate subsurface data
- Maintain organized field notes, reports, and supporting documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often on uneven terrain
- Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Ability to safely operate field tools and equipment (shovels, measuring devices, etc.)
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
- 3+ years of related experience in utility locating or similar field
- 1+ year experience using electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR technology
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, OR TRAINING: (if applicable)
Nice to have
- OSHA certifications preferred (or ability to obtain)

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical data and field information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and communication
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
