About the role
- Based in Roanoke, Virginia, we invite you to play an important role as we inspire optimal health through compassionate care, medical education and research, and neighborhood outreach.
- The Certified Surgical Technologist participates in the delivery of individualized peri-operative registered nursing care under the supervision and guidance of a licensed physician or a registered professional nurse.
- Successfully completed an accredited surgical technologist training program and holds a current credential as a certified surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or its successor.
Responsibilities

- Establishes and maintains a sterile field and assures team maintains a sterile environment.
Requirements
- Knowledge of instrumentations.
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certification in Surgical Technology required.
- LPN licensure required for grandfathered employees.
Compensation
- $25.77 - $38.66 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
- The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
