  • Position Overview Misselwood at Endicott College is a breathtaking oceanfront estate with historic charm, offering panoramic views and serving as the premier location for world-class events in Beverly, MA.
  • Reporting to the Director of Event Operations, this role ensures the exceptional delivery of services for all event types, upholding Misselwood's reputation for superior hospitality and seamless event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal departments to flawlessly execute each event, creating excellent guest and customer experiences.
  • Manage the menu for libation stations, including the creation and pricing of tiered stations based on specific liquor and wine selections.
  • Manage liquor ordering, inventory control, and vendor relationships to ensure preparedness and accuracy.
  • Develop beverage programs, pricing strategies, and cost controls to maintain operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of day-to-day operations to maintain high standards.
  • Perform additional duties, operational responsibilities, and special projects as assigned or needed.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, think proactively, and maintain professionalism during stressful situations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bar management, including staff supervision, inventory control, customer service, and daily operations oversight.

  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience planning and executing events, including weddings, corporate, and social gatherings.
  • Experience supervising and training staff, including seasonal teams, to ensure high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and remain composed under pressure.

Compensation

  • In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000.
  • The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors.
