About the role
- Responsible for following lab safety standards.
- This position requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate participant availability and study needs.
- This position is grant funded with fund i ng expected through 2028.
Responsibilities
- Lab and Research Support
- Provides routine, technical, and administrative support to research projects to ensure established protocols and procedures are followed for the lab.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, research staff, and key stakeholders to support successful project implementation, ongoing operations, and achievement of study objectives.
- Assist in defining project scope, goals, timelines, and resource needs; identify and engage appropriate internal and external resources to support project success.
- Coordinate and support project activities, including participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, intervention delivery, study assessments, scheduling, and retention efforts.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones and deliverables, maintain project documentation, and assist in preparing status reports and responding to project-related inquiries.
- Identify potential risks, trends, and operational issues; recommend and implement solutions to support project effectiveness and successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with project team members, participants, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain project calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and initiate confidential correspondence on behalf of the project.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to audiences, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health promotion, public health, social work, kinesiology, exercise science, healthcare delivery, or related field.
- Previous experience collaborating on community-based health promotion research projects or public health campaigns, including those focused on reducing health inequities/disparities.
- Previous experience working on an NIH-funded research study.
- Previous experience and/or stated interest in the areas of physical activity, public health, health promotion, and health inequities/health disparities.
- Knowledge of basic leadership practices.
- Skill in preparing detailed reports on a timely basis.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
- Work collaboratively across various departments, as well as with populations and groups across the University.
- Use computers effectively - including inputting, reviewing, retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen, and using mouse and keyboard.
- Ability to use calculator, telephone, computer (monitor, keyboard, and mouse), printer, fax, and copier.
Compensation
- $22 - $27 per hour; DOE
