Responsibilities
- Techno is looking for a Construction Inspector to support a citywide pedestrian accessibility program across New York City.
- Perform field inspections of pedestrian infrastructure including sidewalks, curb ramps, curbs, and roadway interfaces
- Maintain daily inspection reports with clear documentation of progress, site conditions, measurements, and photos
- Identify and document non-compliant work, safety concerns, or field discrepancies, escalating as needed
- Track installed quantities and support documentation for progress and payment verification
- We deliver impactful water/wastewater, transportation, and public works projects for clients including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.

Requirements
- 3-5+ years of construction inspection experience on civil, transportation, or public infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of ADA requirements related to pedestrian ramps, sidewalks, and streetscape improvements
- Experience preparing detailed field reports and maintaining accurate inspection records
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across field and project teams
- Knowledge of construction safety practices within active urban work zones

Nice to have
- Experience on New York City public works projects is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with NYCDDC standards, procedures, or inspection protocols is a plus
