Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for events, signaling, and asynchronous processing capabilities across internal and external use cases.
- Lead product discovery with internal consumer teams
- Drive efficiency initiatives that reduce redundant data transfer and optimize compute usage with measurable impact.
- Partner with architects and engineering to make sound implementation decisions and deliver high-quality releases.
- Lead product discovery with internal consumer teams; translate requirements into clear specs, backlogs, and success metrics.
- Your work will support the multitude of new products being built on the Box platform like extract and workflow, while impacting the bottom line by reducing costs and redundancy across the entire product infrastructure.
- You'll partner closely with engineering teams in Redwood City and Poland and with our architecture group to define the roadmap, shape implementation, and deliver measurable platform outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management with experience on platform/infrastructure or large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven track record driving system efficiency (e.g., compute optimization, reducing data transfer, improving signaling) with quantified results.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
Nice to have
- Background in consulting or enterprise platforms
- familiarity with pub/sub systems, streaming pipelines, and any prior development experience.
- Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Compensation
- Actual base salary (or
- OTE if commissionable role) is dependent upon factors such as:

- $181,000 - $226,500 USD
