About the role

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily focuses on building and maintain a strong intellectual property portfolio to support the Company's R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization efforts on biologics products.
  • Serve as a strategic partner for the Company's senior leaders in discovery, research, manufacturing, and development on patent, regulatory data exclusivity, trademark, and other intellectual property issues.
  • Support corporate development, business development and research collaborations, including due diligence assessments, advise on contract drafting and negotiation, and alliance management.
  • Provide litigation support, including validity and non-infringement analysis.
  • BeOne Medicines is a rapidly growing, global, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative molecularly targeted and immuno-oncology drugs for the treatment of cancer.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years or relevant experience in biopharmaceutical intellectual property practice.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and strong understanding of drug discovery, development, manufacturing and commercialization of biologics, small molecule and other types of drugs
  • Experience and skill at drafting patent applications and responses to patent office actions, and proven track record of patent portfolio development.
  • Ability to understand complicated laws and regulations and translate them into practical, business-oriented legal counsel.
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information, and to exercise discretion and judgment.
  • Experience developing IP portfolios for ADC and/or cell and gene therapy assets preferred.
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate, as well as to work independently, balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in biological sciences, Ph.D. preferred

Compensation

  • $211,000.00 - $271,000.00 annually BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
  • Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location.
  • The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.
  • Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only.
  • Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
