- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Creates preschool classroom schedules for individual classrooms, library, recess, lunch, and special events, and modifies as needed.
- Creates and distributes monthly classroom calendar to all preschool classrooms.
- Leads meetings, as needed, with each child's parent/guardian and/or therapist.
- Serves as Lead monitor of Recess Zones for safety and Indoor Recess Quality.
- This position oversees classroom curriculum and classroom management including behavior support under the coaching and guidance of the Director of Preschool Services.
- You will provide support and coaching to the Classroom Lead Teachers and Classroom Teaching Assistants.
- Maintains and submits receipts and budget for each month.
- Leads weekly toddler and Pre-K curriculum meetings during the weekly lead teacher meeting.
- Leads a classroom team meeting with each classroom team at least once a month and reports agenda and findings to the administrative team.
- Implements behavior management through modeling and coaching with appropriate use of supports and de-escalation strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field
- Eight years of experience in Early Childhood
- Assists in classrooms as required by center needs.
- Actively attends and contributes to all required administrative meetings.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing.
- The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting.
- The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel.

- Director's Credential or the equivalent
- Experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting, preferred.
Compensation
- Ensures completion of Handwriting Without Tears and Kindergarten Readiness assessments twice per year as outlined in the academic calendar to be presented to parents at the annual Parent Teacher Conference.
