Responsibilities

  • Define and implement infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to migrate workloads into GCP.
  • Design and develop automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration process.
  • Work closely with the Development and Operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of infrastructure.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • BA/BS or advanced degree in computer sciences or equivalent work experience
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale implementations of Google Cloud Platform, designed for security and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Java/ Python programming languages
  • knowledge of REST API frameworks.
  • Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

  • The ideal candidate has expert level knowledge and experience in designing, migrating, and implementing complex hosting solutions and migrations.
  • The architecting engineer needs to have the ability to provide insight into the workloads and their dependencies to map out the best strategy to migrate workloads to GCP.
  • This will include determining the ideal groups of applications and defining a roadmap to move to GCP.
  • Deploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on GCP (Azure/AWS is a plus) using industry best practices.
  • Cloud infrastructure experience on GCP (+Azure/AWS a plus) - IAM - users/groups/service accounts and their differences, Networking and VPCs, concepts of public vs. private IPs Security, ACLs, firewalls Automation
