About the role

  • As a Sous Chef at Botanist, you will play a key leadership role in one of Canada's most celebrated restaurants, inspiring a talented culinary team while delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests.
  • As a Sous Chef, you'll work alongside an exceptional culinary team dedicated to pushing creative boundaries while delivering unforgettable dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity to lead within a luxury, high-profile banquet operation
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and inspire a team of culinary professionals while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Support the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in the daily operation of Botanist.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Collaborate with the Front of House team to deliver seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

  • Step into the Chef de Cuisine's responsibilities in their absence as required.
  • Fine dining experience is required.

Compensation

  • A competitive salary, starting from $85,000.00 per annum
