About the role
- We are seeking a reliable and experienced Excavation Laborer to join our team.
- This role involves supporting excavation and site development projects, with a focus on grading, trenching, and general site preparation.
- The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in excavation work, a solid understanding of grading practices, and some experience operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation, including clearing, digging, and material handling
- Read grade stakes, interpret site plans, and maintain proper elevations
- Support installation of underground utilities, including electrical conduit
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support crew and project timelines
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of experience in excavation or site work
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Basic understanding of grading, elevations, and site layout
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
Nice to have
- Familiarity with installing and working around electrical conduit is highly preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, excavator, etc.) preferred
- Experience working with or around electrical conduit strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
