About the role
- We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager with experience in the construction industry to join our team.
- This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of health and safety within our organization.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills with a commitment to fostering safety while working in a construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures that support PMI and PCM's safety commitment of promoting communication, compliance, and compassion all tied together with respect.
- Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare employees for potential emergencies.
- Manage multiple site safety representatives.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and corrective actions in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- Maintain and provide site SDS documentation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that comply with OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation laws.
Requirements
- Strong skills in report writing and documentation are required.
- Required Certifications
- Highly Valued Training (not required)
Nice to have
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is required
- additional certifications in EHS-related fields are a plus.
