About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this role oversees purchase order and invoice processing, banking and treasury functions, and employee expense administration, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.
Coordinate workflows and approval processes for invoices, staff expenses, and credit card reconciliations, including oversight of purchase orders and vendor banking detail changes.
Oversee the finance email inbox, ensuring timely responses to payment requests and inquiries from vendors and staff.

Invest Ottawa is seeking a Finance Supervisor to perform a variety of core accounting functions with a focus on accounts payable, treasury, and balance sheet reconciliations.
You will provide day-to-day supervision and support to two Finance Assistants while coordinating accounts payable workflows, supporting vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with finance procedures and internal controls.

10 days per month required in-office at
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, treasury, or finance operations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central is an asset.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Reason for Opening: Backfilling a position.
Oversee vendor payment processing including EFTs, bill payments, cheque runs, and wire transfers, and monitor accounts payable aging to support timely processing and follow-up.
Coordinate workflows and approval processes for invoices, staff expenses, and credit card reconciliations, including oversight of purchase orders and vendor banking detail changes.
Oversee the finance email inbox, ensuring timely responses to payment requests and inquiries from vendors and staff.
Prepare tax compliance report preparation and filing including HST and import and duties.

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls.
