About the role

  • Promotes holistic understanding of the application of technology to improve clinical workflows and patient care.
  • May coordinate with other appropriate departments regarding downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical knowledge to perform high visibility rounding, user group support and coaching of end users.
  • Provides visibility and support of clinical applications systems.
  • Utilizes data analytics to support needs-based training.
  • Maintains on-going user communication and support to ensure user competency and obtain information on usage of the system and workflow concerns through established, regularly scheduled rounding.
  • Provides project support in conjunction with project leadership for the deployment and support of new and existing IT clinical applications.
  • Brings clinical expertise in conjunction with operational leaders and all levels of clinical staff to support new and existing IT clinical applications.
  • Performs Advocate functions to ensure technology solutions support patient care standards and outcomes.
  • Proficient at evaluation of complex clinical workflows, how to use them to better support clinical care, and escalation of suggestions for process improvement.
  • They will apply nursing standards as they collaborate with IT teams and user groups to develop and deploy best practices.
  • Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices based their broad understand across clinical venues and user groups.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in the use of system office applications.
  • Must have highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly.
  • This position requires the ability to convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, using both verbal and written mediums.
  • Requires the ability to promote change among large groups of workers.
  • Requires the ability to coordinate information and activities, work under stress of deadlines and frequent interruptions, and to possess analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Occasional evening and/or night shifts required for project support.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.
