About the role

Promotes holistic understanding of the application of technology to improve clinical workflows and patient care.
May coordinate with other appropriate departments regarding downtime.

Provides clinical knowledge to perform high visibility rounding, user group support and coaching of end users.
Provides visibility and support of clinical applications systems.
Utilizes data analytics to support needs-based training.
Maintains on-going user communication and support to ensure user competency and obtain information on usage of the system and workflow concerns through established, regularly scheduled rounding.
Provides project support in conjunction with project leadership for the deployment and support of new and existing IT clinical applications.
Brings clinical expertise in conjunction with operational leaders and all levels of clinical staff to support new and existing IT clinical applications.
Performs Advocate functions to ensure technology solutions support patient care standards and outcomes.
Proficient at evaluation of complex clinical workflows, how to use them to better support clinical care, and escalation of suggestions for process improvement.
They will apply nursing standards as they collaborate with IT teams and user groups to develop and deploy best practices.
Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices based their broad understand across clinical venues and user groups.

Must be proficient in the use of system office applications.
Must have highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly.
This position requires the ability to convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, using both verbal and written mediums.
Requires the ability to promote change among large groups of workers.
Requires the ability to coordinate information and activities, work under stress of deadlines and frequent interruptions, and to possess analytical problem-solving skills.
Occasional evening and/or night shifts required for project support.

Provides clinical application system training of end users as needed through the application of clinical expertise and technical skills.
