About the role

  • Engineer in Training II - Site Development
  • Eberly & Associates, now a Pape-Dawson company, is seeking an experienced Engineer in Training II to join our growing Site Development team.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside talented engineers on a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments while continuing your path toward Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, engineering calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of land development projects.
  • Evaluate and compare design alternatives, including grading, drainage, alignments, utility layouts, right-of-way considerations, and other site constraints.
  • Design site development plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering design tools.
  • Partner with project managers, clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to support project coordination, permitting, and successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 2+ years of civil engineering experience focused on commercial, residential, and/or site development projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
  • Working knowledge of land development design principles, permitting processes, and applicable regulations.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment.
