Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.
  • We deliver strong, consistent returns through innovative management, a customer-first approach, and over 50 years of operational excellence.
  • As a live‑in team member, you'll support day‑to‑day cleaning operations and help ensure shared spaces remain clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial services, or housekeeping is considered a strong asset, but is not required.
  • Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.
  • Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
  • Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Basic English verbal communication skills.
  • Friendly, respectable, and community-minded with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
  • Additional Details
  • All work will be completed at Avalon Park
  • located at 2470 Southvale Crescent, Ottawa.
  • This role requires participation in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates' skills, experience, and other job-related requirements.
