About the role

  • The Market Manager is responsible for the management of 8Fleet's operations in Portland, including but not limited to: managing end-to-end operations, strategic planning, data oversight, business operations, and BD.
  • This is an essential role that requires operational expertise, a deep understanding of the ridesharing industry, and a founder's mindset.
  • This role will tackle key business priorities that amplify the growth of our business and facilitate operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Own all financial and operational metrics to ensure optimal revenue and profit maximization
  • Manage vehicle maintenance and repair programs to ensure optimal fleet utilization and safety.
  • Partner with the Growth team to develop and execute strategies to recruit, onboard, and retain a high-performing driver base.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize fleet profitability.
  • Driver Support & Training:
  • Provide ongoing support and training to drivers on industry best practices, safety regulations, and customer service.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • 2+ years of operations management, business consulting, or related experience managing operations, building and developing teams, optimizing processes, and delivering business goals
  • 2+ years of people management experience, high EQ, and proven ability to deliver outstanding results through others in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Data-driven mindset, strong business judgment, and proven ability to perform analysis, draw key insights, and form and execute a strategy

  • some entrepreneurial experience is preferred
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • BA/BS with an impressive academic record
  • MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus
  • Experience with ridesharing platforms (Uber, Lyft) is a strong plus

Compensation

  • Plus annual bonus and strong stock option award

  • Base Salary Range: $105k-$125k
